Mizoram University founded on 2nd July 2001, is a central University that was formed under the UGC, GOI (University Grants Commission, Government of India), It is accredited by the National Assessment & Accreditation Council. There are five types of programs in the same category Apprenticeship, Degree, Executive, Bachelor, and Cretificate. 

The Apprenticeship programs offered to students are on-the-job advanced training where students can learn,  earn, and work together. Students can pursue the same via the B.Com program in E-Commerce & E-Accounting & BBA Program in E-Business. Both types of examinations are conducted - internal as well as external. The internal examination consists of knowledge-based projects, and case studies, whereas the external examination includes theory exams. These examinations are conducted on Mizoram University’s student portal designed for students in online mode. The university expects students to have all the necessary technical equipment like a computer, with a webcam and microphone, along with a reliable internet connection.
