AISSEE 2026 application date extended till November 9; exam scheduled for January 18

The National Testing Agency (NTA) has given an additional time to Sainik School entrance exam applicants by increasing the AISSEE 2026 registration deadline for online application completion of Sainik Schools admission in Classes 6 and 9, and also added new Sainik Schools across India. Ensure to register till November 9, 2025.

According to the updated timetable, the All India Sainik Schools Entrance Examination (AISSEE) 2026 is set to be held on January 18, 2026 (Sunday).

After the organization received many requests from candidates, NTA announced that the decision to extend the registration window was made. "With this extension, those who are willing to take the examination get some more hours to finish their forms and this gives them the opportunity to avoid last, minute problems, " was the statement made by the agency in its communication.

During a correction window, students will not be permitted to change their name, mobile number, email ID, permanent, and present address. But they may fix the father's name, mother's name, date of birth, gender, category, sub, category, class applied for, medium, photo, signature, and certificates (category, date of birth, and studentship). Besides that, they may alter their exam city choices; however, it must still be within the same State or Union Territory.

Moreover, a total of three new Sainik Schools have been incorporated this year. They are: Srri SPK Public Senior Secondary School in Namakkal, Tamil Nadu (residential), Vadem Nagar Higher Secondary School in Vasco, Goa, Goa (residential), and Yogeshwari Sainik School, Ambajogai in Beed district, Maharashtra (day boarding).
