West‍‌‍‍‌‍‌‍‍‌ Bengal SSC Opens 8,477 Non-Teaching Posts — Apply Before December 3

West Bengal Central School Service Commission (WBCSSC) has declared a mission to fill the non-teaching vacancies that total 8,477 in schools run by the government of West Bengal. The application window has been opened on the official website — ‍Westbengal SSC Recruitment — and will be accessible till December 3, 2025, 5 PM.

Vacancy Details

The recruitment is inclusive of the post under Group C (Clerical) and Group D (Support Staff) classes:

• Group C (Clerk): 5,488 vacancies
• Group D (Peon, Laboratory Attendant, etc.): 2,989 vacancies

After the written test, an interview will be conducted in both groups. Apart from that, Group C candidates will have to go through a typing and computer proficiency test. The question paper will be in two languages — English and Bengali.

2. SC/ST/PH: ₹150

The fees should be paid only by online means such as debit/credit card, net banking, or UPI.

Eligibility Criteria

• Group C (Clerks): An applicant must have passed Madhyamik (Class 10) or an equivalent examination from a board recognized by the authority before the date of the closing of the application.
• Group D (Support Staff): Applicants need to have passed at least Class 8 or an equivalent examination from a school or institution that is recognized.

Minimum age for both positions is 18 years while maximum age is 40 years as of January 1, 2025.

Age concession will be granted as follows:

1. SC/ST: 5 years
2. OBC: 3 years
3. PwD: 8 years
