About IIPS Online MA in Population Studies
The International Institute for Population Sciences (IIPS) is a Deemed-to-be University in Mumbai, India, focused on population studies, demography, health and related research. It was established in July 1956 under the sponsorship of the Government of India, Sir Dorabji Tata Trust and the United Nations, and serves as a regional centre for training and research in population sciences for the ESCAP region.
International Institute for Population Sciences (IIPS) offers programs in Open and Distance learning mode. One of the programs is Master of Arts in Population Studies that is recognized by the UGC- DEB. The program duration is 2 years that can be extended for 4 years. The institute provides self-study materials and self- assessment to the students.
As throughout the program, the students will be well-equipped with the research and analytical skills.On getting the master’s degree, students can pursue higher studies such as doctoral studies or they can also apply for diverse job roles.

- Those who have a bachelor’s degree from a recognized university in any discipline with a minimum of 55% of marks are eligible for the program.
- Students having a master's degree along with work experience can also apply for the program.

International Institute of Population Sciences (IIPS) EMI Details
The official site of the International Institute of Population Sciences does not provide details about the EMI facility and the education loan facility. Despite the fact that the fees charged for the courses offered by the university through regular and online portals are relatively low, most applicants cannot afford the courses. In order to reverse this trend of students enrolling in IIPS University, other online websites, including College Vidya, are also offering the EMI plan of studying at this university. This will also be comfortably done due to the fact that the course fee will be paid in installments, and the benefit of paying the course fee to the university will be experienced.
IIPS Online MA in Population Studies Admission Process
To complete the online application form, the following steps have to be completed:
Step 1: To apply to get registration, you must have a valid email address and contact details.
Step 2: Once all necessary information has been entered in the online form, the form is to be submitted by the use of the SUBMIT button.
Step 3: The mail with details of the application number and login ID shall be sent to the registered email ID.
Step 4: Log in to the URL by using the credentials on your registered email ID.
Step 5: Enter all the details in the registration form.
Step 6: Upload Passport-Sized Photograph (ONLY JPG/JPEG/PNG, Max 1 MB). Aadhar proof, Scanned document, and DOB Proof are required: (ONLY PDF, Max 1 MB).
Step 7: Once you have clicked the Preview & Submit button, it will redirect you to the review Application page.
Step 8: After filling in all the required fields, including those of your personal details, just press the Submit Form button, and your application form will be submitted.
Step 9: Click on the Proceed to Payment button to make your payment (where necessary).
In case you paid online (e-payment) and, due to some technical glitch, you are unsure about whether the fees have been paid or not, then you can log in to your account via the 'Login' tab and choose the option of checking your previous transaction, and then check the payment status.
You should also download and keep a copy of the Online Application Form for future use .It is also important to write down the application number for future queries in reference to your application form.
Note: The candidates must observe that once the online application form has been filled, no subsequent changes can be made in any field.

IIPS Online MA in Population Studies Examination Pattern
The online courses at the IIPS do not make an exception in the instruction of the traditional ones. Internal tests and theoretical tests will also be done, and this will also be taken into consideration in deriving the final score. You will also present your assignments, projects, viva, quizzes, or any other assignments that are related to the in-house tests, which you will be given by your professor, and you will also be given the end-of-semester exams on each of the subjects. The only way one can pass and move on to the new semester is through the internal tests and the final semester exams.
