About LPU Online MCA
LPU offers the Master of Computer Applications (MCA) in a fully online mode for a duration of 2 years that are divided into 4 semesters. The course is imparted through both live lectures and recorded lectures. This is to offer complete flexibility to the students who fail to attend live lectures. The live lectures are recorded and made accessible to all the students through the LMS.
LPU has its own Learning Management System (LMS) which makes it very convenient to develop an efficient learning environment. The LMS is available as a mobile app as well with rich interactive features. The curriculum of the online MCA course at LPU has been crafted by actual practitioners from the industry along with experienced academicians so that the curriculum has the right balance of theoretical and practical learning concepts.
The students are given industry immersion through real-life situations to learn from with the help of specially curated training programs, guest lectures, and projects in collaboration with relevant industries. Who Can Apply?
The student must fulfill any one of the following criteria:
- BCA or B.Sc in Computer Science/Information Technology or bachelor’s degree in Computer Science Engineering or equivalent.
- Bachelor’s degree in any discipline but with Computer Science as a subject at graduation level and Mathematics as a subject at graduation or 10+2 level.
- Bachelor’s degree in any discipline but with Mathematics as a subject at graduation or 10+2 level or equivalent along with additional bridge courses.

LPU Online Admission Process
The admission procedure at LPU Online takes place in online mode. The fresh admission batches starts in every 6 months. The admissison session generally starts in the month of January and July of every year. Direct admission is done on the basis of one’s educational qualification, no other entrance exams are conducted for taking admission. The admission procedure 2023 for the online courses at LPU Online is as follows:
Step 1- First step is registration. You have to sign up and pay a registration fee of ₹500.
Step 2- Next step is to fill the online application form and upload relevant documents.
Step 3- Now, you have to pay the program fee.
Step 4- The university will verify the documents and notify you for further procedures.
Step 5- Upon approval from the university, you will get your LMS credentials via email.

LPU offers the online MCA degree for a duration of 2 years divided into 4 semesters of six months each.
MCA is a technical degree course but it can be pursued in online mode. The government allows MCA program to be pursued in online mode but only from a UGC-DEB recognised university.
The total fee for an online MCA program at LPU is INR 1,16,000 (INR 29,000 per semester). However, if you make the entire payment in one-time, then the total fee is reduced to INR 1,06,000/- only.
The applicant must have a bachelor’s degree in any discipline but with Mathematics and Computer Science as two of the subjects at the graduation level.
