The UGC NET exam is conducted in 181 cities to make candidates eligible for posts of only Assistant Professor or both Junior Research Fellowship (JRF) and Assistant Professor in Indian universities and colleges.

NTA released the official dates for UGC NET session 1 from June 10 to June 21, 2024.
Mode and Results
The results of this Computer Based Test (CBT) are expected to be announced within 3 weeks after the exam.
Registration and Admit Card
Registration for UGC NET 2024 will be open soon on the official NTA website, “ugcnet.nta.nic.in.” The admit card for the same will be released in February 2024.
Fees and Number of Papers
The fees for the exam are INR 1,100 for the General category, INR 600 for OBC, and INR 275 for SC/ ST/ PwD. It will comprise 2 papers, one of 100 marks (50 MCQs) and another of 200 marks (100 MCQs).
Language and Duration of Exam
The exam will be conducted in both Hindi and English and the total duration will be of 180 minutes.
