Enroll Directly into Ph.D. After 4-year Graduation Through NET Exam!

Good news for graduate students! UGC’s Chairman, Mr. Jagadesh Kumar announced that students holding four-year undergraduate degrees can now directly sit for NET and pursue a PhD.

What were the previous guidelines? Before this announcement of the University Grants Commission, candidates who have qualified for master’s with 55% marks are eligible to sit for NET.

What are the updated guidelines? Now, those who have completed 4-year graduation with a minimum of 75% marks or equal grades can sit for a NET exam.

Is there any relaxation in marks for the non-creamy layer? Candidates belonging to the SC/ST/OBC category, differently-abled, and economically weaker sections of UGC get a 5% relaxation in the marks.
