The QS Rankings 2025 cycle starts with data collection in November and publishes the QS World University Rankings in June. The Subject Rankings are released later in the spring.

The rankings involve the evaluation of universities based on Academic Reputation, Employer Reputation, Faculty Student Ratio, Citations Per Faculty, International Faculty Ratio, and International Students Ratio.

International Research Network, Employment Outcomes, and Sustainability are the three new parameters that were not there in 2024.

This year’s ranking features over 1,500 universities across 105 higher education systems. 197 ranked institutions are from the United States, 90 are from the United Kingdom, and 71 are from mainland China.
