The Andhra Pradesh Integrated Common Entrance Test (AP ICET) 2025 is an organized state-level examination that is conducted by Andhra University on behalf of the Andhra Pradesh State Council of Higher Education (APSCHE). The rank card or AP ICET result consists of all the possible details such as personal information, total marks, marks according to the division, cut-offs, and many others.

The AP ICET is held for admissions to MBA and MCA courses offered at the best government and private institutes of Andhra Pradesh.

The AP ICET took place on May 7, 2025, and students have now been waiting for the results. To pass the AP ICET, students need to secure a minimum of 25% of the total marks.

What are the Steps To Download AP ICET 2025 Result?

In the last year, more than 49,000 students had registered for the AP ICET, and of those students, 44,447 reportedly appeared for the AP ICET Exam. Following the AP ICET result of the last year, a total of 42,984 students cleared the examination.

The following are the steps for accessing the result and downloading the rank card nd Result:

  1. Go to the official portal for AP ICET 2025 at https://cets.apsche.ap.gov.in/ICET.
  2. Click the "AP ICET 2025 Result" option from the homepage.
  3. Then provide your details, such as:
  • Registration Number
  • Hall Ticket Number
    • Then, click on the "Submit" button or "View Result".
    • Your AP ICET Rank Card 2025 will be displayed on the screen.
    • Confirm that it is downloaded, and the printout is taken for future counseling and admission purposes.

AP ICET 2025 Cut-Off Criteria

The meaning of the AP ICET 2025 cut-off will be the lowest score that students must acquire to be eligible for the admission process. Each college participating in the AP ICET sets its cut-off according to a variety of factors.

Important Notes are mentioned below:

  • The students who belong to the general category must score above the qualifying marks to be eligible for counseling.
  • However, even qualifying in the exam does not guarantee admission; the ranks and cut-offs of the colleges will finally decide your seat.
  • The rank card is valid for one academic year only.

Re-Evaluation of AP ICET 2025 Result

In case of any mistake or error in the AP ICET Results/Rank Card, students may apply for a re-evaluation by paying INR 1000. In case of any such situation, it is advisable that the students immediately move to the officials in this regard. The application, along with the fee, must be submitted within 15 days after the announcement of AP ICET results in 2025. The fee should be paid using a Demand Draft favoring the Convener, APICET — 2025, which shall be issued by any nationalized bank and should be payable at Sri Krishnadevaraya University.

What is the Tie-Breaking Policy at AP ICET 2025?

When preparing the AP ICET 2025 merit list, in the case of two or more students scoring the same marks in the entrance tests, the tie-breaking policy will be applied. Be sure to know the tie-breaking rules for AP ICET 2025.

The APSCHE shall enforce the following tie-breaking rules:

  • Those scoring higher in Section A (Analytical Ability) shall be preferred.
  • If the tie remains, marks secured in Section B (Mathematical Ability) will be taken into consideration.
  • If the scores are still tied between the students, then the older age students will be ranked higher in the exam.

Note: This Tie-Breaking policy is created to maintain fairness and a structured way to solve this problem.

What is the Difference Between Rank and Marks?

The difference between a rank and marks in the AP ICET 2025 Exam is huge for the students. Marks are the total points scored by the candidate depending on his or her performance in correct answers. On the other hand, the rank represents the position of an aspirant amongst others, found by comparing the marks of all the students who have appeared in the exam. Key Points of AP ICET 2025 Result

Here are the main points concerning the AP ICET 2025 result:

  • General category candidates have to secure a minimum of a 25% score to pass the AP ICET examination, i.e., 50 out of 200 marks.
  • No minimum score criteria are applied to Scheduled Caste (SC) and Scheduled Tribe (ST) candidates.
  • The rank is given as per the overall merit by APSCHE.
  • The AP ICET 2025 ranks for admission to colleges in Andhra Pradesh will be for the academic year 2025-26.
  • Any legal issues about AP ICET 2025 will be under the jurisdiction of the Andhra Pradesh High Court alone, and only the Convener of AP ICET 2025 and the Secretary APSCHE shall be made respondents.

Next Steps After AP ICET 2025

After the declaration of the result and cutoff release by participating institutes, qualified students will have to sit for AP ICET counselling. The counselling of AP ICET 2025 will begin online once the participating institutes release the provisional allotment list. Counselling fees for general category students will be Rs 1200, while for students of the Reserved categories, the fees will be Rs 600.

APSCHE generally releases the detailed counseling schedule and procedures by June 2025.

Normalisation Process of AP ICET Exam 2025

The normalisation process is one of the key steps in AP ICET, whereby a candidate is ensured neither unduly benefited nor harmed in the reward process due to easier or tougher question papers.

Check the AP ICET 2025 normalisation process, which will be used to compute the final AP ICET 2025 scores: 

  • GMS:  (Average + Standard Deviation) taken across all sessions together for all students.
  • SMS:  (Average + Standard Deviation) of the session to which the candidate belongs.
  • Top Average Global: Average marks of the top 0.1 percent of all the students across all sessions.
  • Top Average Session:  Average marks of the top 0.1 percent of the students belonging to the session in question.

As per the AP ICET report, the total number of students for the last year enrolled for the AP ICET Exam is 48,828, and 42,984 of them passed. Hence, the dropping range for the students is approximately 6,000 candidates, and it’s increasing per year. The AP ICET examination is conducted through online mode, i.e., Computer-Based Test (CBT). Students need to go to the allotted exam centers to take the test.
 

The preliminary answer key is most often released within 2-3 days after the examination. The final key is released after considering objections.

The last date of submission of the examination application without a late fee is expected to be on 9th April 2025. Late submission is accepted with a late fee.  
 

Students must have a Bachelor's degree, i.e., a minimum of 3 years of degree course from any recognized university with at least 50% marks in Arts, Science, or Commerce (45% for reserves). Final year students are also eligible to apply.
 

The AP ICET 2025 exam will have 3 sections Analytical, Mathematical, and Communication Ability. Each section will test different skills. 
 

The AP ICET is conducted by the Sri Krishnadevaraya University, Anantapur, on behalf of APSCHE. It is the sole examination for admission into MBA/MCA programs in Andhra Pradesh.
