Albeit, both B. Tech and MCA courses lie in the same domain but these two courses are not the same in terms of duration.
B.Tech is an undergraduate course in the engineering genre and requires 4 years to get completed. As this course is not available in the distance mode hence it is offered in the semester mode by every university which means 8 semesters in 4 years.
MCA is a postgraduate course in computer applications and students can complete this in 2 years. Generally, distance MCA takes 2 years to get completed but some universities offer a 3-year MCA. Hence, it depends on the university but it will be either a 2 years course or 3 years course.
