Admission Procedure for IGNOU Ranchi Regional Center

Students interested in furthering their education in a designated discipline from IGNOU Ranchi to lead a successful career related to the discipline can enroll themselves in their courses. The admission process has been designed to be user-friendly so that they can enroll themselves in a few simple and easy steps. 

The admission process begins with filling out the admission form. This admission form will be available on the official portal of IGNOU Ranchi in the section for new admissions and it requires basic details of applicants like name, dob, parents' name, etc. Once the applicant correctly fills in the information, students will be asked to upload documents. These documents include address proof, mark sheets for 10th and similar for 12th grade, income certificate, etc. 

After the upload of the documents, students will have to pay the admission fee of INR 300. There are various categories of registration fees, so it is best to check the fee when you apply. If, for the course applied, the student needs to take an entrance examination, then they will need to wait for the admission card to be sent to them and to appear for the entrance exam on the date mentioned on the admission card. 

If the student qualifies for entrance by getting good marks, then they can begin their classes. If not, then they can try again for the next admission cycle. This statement also applies to students who missed the opportunity to apply this year; in that case, they may apply again in the next cycle as Indira Gandhi National Open University opens admission cycles twice a year.

IGNOU Ranchi Assignment Submission and Guidelines For 2025

IGNOU Ranchi Regional Center determines the final marks of the students based on assignments and examinations. Seventy percent of the final assessment relies on the scores obtained in the exam, while thirty percent is determined by the grades awarded for admission and project submissions. Submitting assignments is extremely important and must be done before the specified deadline; in many instances, students have faced a year-long delay due to late submission of their assignments.

Each semester, students must complete assignments for various subjects. Previously, assignments were submitted offline, requiring students to visit their study center to hand them in; however, now assignments can be uploaded online on the official portal, making the process much more convenient. When submitting the assignment, students must ensure they include their name, roll number, enrollment number, subject code, course, etc
