Can Polytechnic Diploma Holders Apply for GATE?

After completing the Polytechnic Diploma, candidates prefer government jobs. But for higher packages and job roles or to work in PSUs, they need to appear for the GATE exam because a GATE score is required. And the minimum eligibility criteria to appear for the GATE Entrance exam is that candidates have a minimum graduation degree. Polytechnic diploma holders can apply for the B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering program for working professionals if they can’t register for the regular program. It is easier to apply for the B.Tech for Working Professionals program. After completing the program from an approved university, they are eligible to apply for the GATE entrance exam, which opens the door to many lucrative government jobs.

Why B.Tech for the Working Professionals Program?

The B.Tech for Working Professionals program is a 3-year program meant for working professionals who can’t attend the regular engineering program due to personal and professional commitments. Candidates have prior knowledge of the program, so they are prompted to the second year of the program.

The program can be enrolled by those candidates who have completed their polytechnic diploma in engineering and earned a 45%-50% score. There are universities that require a lateral entrance exam score. On the relieving side, there are universities that offer direct admission, like Sanskriti University. There is no age limit to register for the program.

Benefits of Enrolling for the B.Tech for Working Professionals:

  • Hybrid mode of learning.
  • Flexible Shifts on weekends and in the evenings
  • Networking opportunities to connect with professors and industry experts.
  • Upgrading skills and technical knowledge related to the field.
