IGNOU Started January 2024 Admissions, Apply Till 31st Jan!

India’s one of the premiere institutions for online and distance learning, IGNOU, announced the start of the January 2024 admission cycle on its official website on 16th December 2023. As per the announced news, the last to apply at the university is 31st January 2024. This date is applicable for both ODL and online courses offered by IGNOU.

This admission cycle has been opened for all the categories of courses available at IGNOU including all UG, PG, Diploma, and Certificate level programs. The university charges an amount of 300 INR as the one-time non-refundable registration fee for these programs. From this academic session, IGNOU will also offer new MSc courses in Biochemistry, Chemistry, Zoology, and Analytical Chemistry.

How to Apply?

To apply for any course at IGNOU, you need to follow some basic steps as mentioned below.

Step 1: Visit the official “IGNOU Admission” website at https://ignouadmission.samarth.edu.in.

Step 2: For a fresh registration, click on “New Registration” & create your personalized ID & password by filling out some basic information in the registration form. (For re-registration, you can use your old ID and passwords.)

Step 3: Log in to fill out the application form & upload all the scanned copies of all the required documents in a specified format along with the form.

Step 4: Complete the admission process by paying the fees using a Credit Card (Master/Visa), Net Banking, and Debit Card (Master/Visa/Rupay).

Step 5: Download and save the confirmation slip for future reference.

Document Required for Applying at IGNOU

Some specific documents are asked by the university for admission. Here is a list of such documents & the format in which these are accepted.

• Signature (less than 100 KB)
• Passport Size Photograph (less than 100 KB)
• Relevant Educational Certificates and Marksheets (less than 200 KB)
• Category Certificate, for SC/ST/OBC (less than 200 KB)
• Experience Certificate (if applicable) (less than 200 KB)
