IIIT Hyderabad Lateral Entry Eligibility Criteria, Application Process, and Exam Details

The International Institute of Information Technology, Hyderabad (IIIT), administers the IIIT Hyderabad Lateral Entry Entrance Examination (LEEE).  The entrance examination is the means to a dual degree program for students who have studied B.Tech and are looking to enter the best possible institute.  Eligibility Criteria

To be eligible for the Lateral Entry at IIIT Hyderabad, candidates must meet the following criteria:

• Candidates must have completed 2 Years of an Undergraduate Engineering Program (B.Tech)
• Candidates should have completed two years of their B.E./B.Tech program

Academic Background:

As far as computer science is concerned, the applicants are expected to have a degree in computer science, computer science engineering, information technology, artificial intelligence and machine learning, or data science.

In the case of Electronics and Communication: The candidates are expected to have a degree in Electronics and Communication Engineering, Electronics and Telecommunications Engineering, Electrical and Instrumentation Engineering, or Electrical and Electronics Engineering, or in one of its divisions.

In case of minimum academic qualification: The candidates have to have 80 percent or 8.0 CGPA in the 3rd semester. 

Application Process for the IIIT Hyderabad Lateral Entry Program: 

The Lateral Entry Examination (LEEE) entails the following procedures: 

• Applications will be implemented online on the IIIT Hyderabad admissions portal. 
• Registration will enable the candidates to complete the application form that contains the personal, academic, and contact information in various sections. 
• The application fee of INR 3000 should be paid online using debit/credit card or net banking facility only. 
• Once the application form is full and the payment has been made, you will be required to download and print the confirmation page so that you will always have a physical copy.

Examination Details

The LEEE comprises two main components:

The examination is computer-based and consists of multiple-choice questions. There is a negative marking of 25% for incorrect answers.
