Apply for the CAT Exam 2024 from 1st August to 13th September

The Indian Institute of Management has opened the registration for the Common Admission Test (CAT) 2024. Starting from August 1, 2024, eligible candidates who are aspiring to apply to an MBA program can register online at the official website of the university. As per the latest update, the last date to apply is 13th September.  The CAT 2024 exam is on November 24, 2024, and will be held in three sessions. The syllabus and exam pattern remain unchanged. The CAT 2024 question paper will have three sections: Verbal Ability and Reading Comprehension, Data Interpretation and Logical Reasoning, and Quantitative Aptitude. Each session lasts 2 hours, with a 40-minute time limit per section.

Who is eligible to apply for the CAT exam? 

• Candidates with a Bachelor's degree and at least 50% marks (45% for SC, ST, and Persons with Disability) can apply for CAT 2024. Final-year students and those awaiting results can also apply.
• If selected, these candidates can join a program provisionally by submitting a document from their previous institution confirming they've completed all requirements for their Bachelor's degree.

How to apply for the CAT exam 2024? 

• Go to the official website of the institute 
• Click on the 'Register' tab under 'New Candidate Registration.'
• Enter all your details. 
• Click 'Generate OTP.'
• Check your mobile for the OTP.
• Use the OTP to verify your registration.
• Add your personal details, academic background, and work experience.
• Choose your IIMs and courses.
• Select your preferred test city.
• Pay the fee to complete your registration.

Registration Fees 

All the reserved categories such as (SC, ST, and PwD) candidates must pay an application fee of Rs.1,250 with their CAT 2024 application. All other candidates need to pay Rs. 2,500.  Do not get stressed too much, focus on your preparation, and give your best.
