The School of Open Learning (SOL) of Delhi University has released essential information about its admissions procedure for the academic year 2024-25. The undergraduate programs will include both 3-year and 4-year degrees, with several departure points within this time frame, allowing students to achieve suitable certificates or diplomas.
Admissions for both undergraduate and postgraduate programs will commence on June 3, 2024, via the official website:https://sol.du.ac.in/. Interested and qualified applicants can find further updates and information there.
DU SOL provides a wide range of bachelor's degree programs, including the BA (Program), BA (Hons), B. Com (Program), B.Com (Hons), BBA (FIA), and BMS. In addition to postgraduate courses such as MA, M.Com, MBA, BLISc, and MLISc. These programs are offered in 14 distinct departments and encompass a wide range of disciplines in the arts, business, and management fields.
In a significant milestone, SOL has announced that admission to its undergraduate courses would no longer require the Common University Entrance Test (CUET). However, except for MBA and Library Sciences, postgraduate courses will require CUET results. This decision attempts to make the admission process more accessible and simplified for prospective students. The eligibility criteria might differ as per the courses or specialization offered but here are the general eligibility criteria mentioned:
DU SOL provides undergraduate courses such as B.Com (Hons), BA (Hons), and BA. Students are required to obtain a minimum percentage in the 10+2 examination set by the DU Sol or equivalent exam to be considered for admission. DU SOL provides postgraduate courses such as M.Com (Hons), MA (Hons), and MBA. Students are required to obtain a minimum percentage of their bachelor’s degree in the relevant fields set by the Du Sol for the program or some programs ask for work experience as well in order to be considered for admission.

The general eligibility criteria for the MBA program are mentioned below:
Minimum Eligibility: Graduation with 50% marks from any recognized University in any discipline.
Selection Criteria: Merit for admission in the course will be prepared in the following manner
CATEGORY - 1 *
1) 80% weightage will be given to Graduation Marks.
2) 20% Weightage of marks for Professional work experience of any reputed Govt. or non-Govt/Corporate Organization (No objection from the employer is mandatory for working professionals). The weightage of the marks will be determined in the following manner:
Note: Candidates who have no professional working experience are eligible to pursue an MBA, but their merit will be considered only based on marks obtained by them upon Graduation.
CATEGORY - 2 *
For MBBS/BDS/MD/ MDS degree holders or persons having experience in Hospital administration with 2 years (No objection from Employer is mandatory in case of working professionals).
CATEGORY - 3 *
For Group A Officers of Govt. and Public Undertaking Organizations having graduated in any discipline (No objection from Employer is mandatory).
CATEGORY - 4 *
For those having experience of 2 or more years in Corporate Houses/Hospitality and Transportation Sector/Industry/Service Sector/Self-employed professionals (documentary evidence is mandatory).
*Preference will be given to these categories.
