UPSC‍‌‍‍‌‍‌‍‍‌‍‌‍‍‌‍‌‍‍‌ Civil Services Mains 2025 Results Declared; 2,736 Candidates to Appear for Personality Test

The‍‌‍‍‌‍‌‍‍‌ Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) has announced the results for the Civil Services (Main) Examination 2025 that took place from August 22 to August 31, 2025. The candidates may view their results on the Commission's official website - ‍‌‍‍‌‍‌‍‍‌upsc.gov.in

Among all the candidates, 2,736 are shortlisted for the next stage, i.e., the Personality Test (Interview). This round will be the final stage to determine the Indian Administrative Service (IAS), Indian Foreign Service (IFS), Indian Police Service (IPS), and other Group ‘A’ and Group ‘B’ Central Services final units of the ‍‌‍‍‌‍‌‍‍‌candidates.

Next Stage: Personality Test (Interview) 

The Commission will disclose the schedule and interview dates soon on its official website. The Personality Tests will be conducted at the Commission’s premises, Dholpur House, Shahjahan Road, New Delhi.

Shortlisted‍‌‍‍‌‍‌‍‍‌ candidates will get e-summons for their interview on the UPSC website—upsconline.gov.in and upsc.gov.in . If a candidate cannot download the e-summons, he or she must contact the Commission without delay via the proper communication ‍‌‍‍‌‍‌‍‍‌channels.

Mandatory Steps for Shortlisted Candidates

Personality Test candidates are required to access the UPSC portal and submit or confirm their information such as:

Academic qualifications supported by a valid degree or an equivalent certificate

Permanent as well as correspondence addresses

Work or service details (if any)

Higher educational qualifications and achievements

Marital and parental details

Socio-economic questionnaire and category annexures (EWS/OBC/PwBD, if applicable)

The Commission has indicated that these changes are crucial for the last stage of the recruitment process and for the issuance of interview call letters.

2. On the homepage, click the link ‘Civil Services (Main) Examination 2025 – Result’
3. The result PDF will be displayed in a new tab or window
4. Check your roll number in the list of qualified candidates
5. Save the document on your device and take out the print for further use

What’s Next

The‍‌‍‍‌‍‌‍‍‌ final merit list to be created will be dependent on the candidates’ Mains examination and the Personality Test their performance. UPSC will release the list after interviews of the candidates who are propounded for appointment to the most prestigious Indian civil ‍‌‍‍‌‍‌‍‍‌services.
