AILET 2026 First Merit List to Be Released Today at 6 PM by NLU Delhi

Finally after a long time wait is over, the AILET is releasing today the provisional merit list. The date selected for the release is of 8th January, 2026. Although the details in the merit list will be name of candidates who took part in the admission and got selected.

• Note that only those candidates who have completed the AILET 2026 counseling registration can view their names in the merit list. So, far the list is not yet live but will be live in few hours by today, to check the list, candidates can visit the AILET 2026 site.

2. After that, on the homepage, click on “1st Provisional Merit List (BA LLB)”
3. On the screen the merit list PDF will be shown 
4. Finally click on download and save it for later use. 

Details Mentioned in the AILET 2026 Merit List

For all the shortlisted candidates, the category wise merit list will have info such as shown below:

• Application number
• Roll number
• Marks obtained
• All India Rank (AIR)

What Happens After the AILET 2026 Merit List Is Released?

Just after the release of the first provisional merit list: 

• One thing non-negotiable is that the provisional admission fee should be paid within the given deadline. 
• The consequences of not paying the fee will lead to cancellations of the provisional admission offer. 
• All the vacant seats are not fixed and will be offered to the next candidates who are eligible based on merit. 

Do note that all those candidates who will not accept the admission offer will not be considered for the next rounds of counselling under any circumstances.
