AP POLYCET 2026 Exam Date OUT; Applications Begin February 28

The Andhra Pradesh Polytechnic Common Entrance Test is the state-level entrance examination conducted for admission into Diploma Engineering and Technology courses, including popular streams such as CSE and ECE, offered by government and private polytechnic colleges across Andhra Pradesh.

Eligibility Criteria

• Candidates who have passed Class 10 (SSC) or an equivalent examination are eligible to apply.
• Students who are currently appearing for Class 10 exams can also submit their application.
• Applicants must be Indian citizens.
• Candidates must satisfy the Andhra Pradesh domicile requirements as per the state’s local rules.
• There is no age limit to appear for the examination.

Exam Pattern and Structure

AP POLYCET 2026 will be conducted in offline mode, where candidates must mark their answers on OMR sheets. The exam will be based on the Class 10 syllabus prescribed by the Andhra Pradesh Board.

The question paper will consist of 120 multiple-choice questions istributed as follows:

• Mathematics: 60 questions
• Physics: 30 questions
• Chemistry: 30 questions

Each question carries 1 mark, making the total score 120 marks. There is no negative marking for incorrect answers. The duration of the examination will be 2 hours.

The objective-type questions are designed to assess students’ conceptual understanding, analytical skills, and problem-solving abilities in core subjects.
