BARC OCES/DGFS, DDFS 2026 CBT on March 14–15; Admit Card Available at Online Portal

The Bhabha Atomic Research Centre is conducting the Computer-Based Test for the OCES/DGFS-2026 recruitment programme and DDFS-2026 doctoral academic programme under the Department of Atomic Energy. The online examination is scheduled to be held on March 14 and March 15, 2026.

Candidates who have registered for these programmes must download their admit cards from the official application portal to appear for the examination. The CBT serves as a common selection test for both programmes, and applicants are advised to carefully verify the details mentioned on the admit card and follow the exam guidelines issued by BARC.

OCES/DGFS 2026: Recruitment Programme for Scientific Officers

The OCES-2026 is a recruitment initiative for Scientific Officer positions in the Department of Atomic Energy.

Some candidates selected through OCES may also receive the DAE Graduate Fellowship Scheme. Under this scheme:

• Engineering graduates can pursue M.Tech programmes at partner institutes such as Indian Institute of Technology Bombay and Indian Institute of Technology Madras.
• Candidates remain associated with the Department of Atomic Energy during their studies.
• Selected fellows receive stipend support and tuition fee assistance.

DDFS 2026: Doctoral Fellowship Programme

The DDFS-2026 is designed for engineering postgraduates seeking PhD opportunities.

Selected scholars will pursue doctoral research under the Homi Bhabha National Institute, a deemed-to-be university. Fellows may join one of HBNI’s constituent institutes, including:

• Bhabha Atomic Research Centre, Mumbai
• Indira Gandhi Centre for Atomic Research, Kalpakkam
• Institute for Plasma Research, Gandhinagar
• Variable Energy Cyclotron Centre, Kolkata
