BITSAT‍‌‍‍‌‍‌‍‍‌ 2026 Dates Confirmed: BITS Pilani Opens Admissions Window for Engineering Aspirants

Birla Institute of Technology and Science (BITS), Pilani has put out BITSAT 2026 exam schedule to the public elaborating the timelines for both Session 1 and Session 2. The admission test is held yearly for the intake of integrated first-degree programs at BITS Pilani, Goa, and Hyderabad campuses.

BITSAT‍‌‍‍‌‍‌‍‍‌ 2026 will have two separate sessions. So, students will get a chance to better their scores.

Session 1 test dates: April 15 to April 17, 2026

Session 2 test dates: May 24 to May 26, 2026

It will be an online exam for both the sessions. Candidates will be given three hours to complete their ‍‌‍‍‌‍‌‍‍‌papers.

BITSAT‍‌‍‍‌‍‌‍‍‌ 2026 Registration Dates

• When the application form is available: December 15, 2025
• Last date for sending Session 1 and overall registration application forms: March 16, 2026
• Session 2 registration window: April 20 - May 2, 2026

It is necessary for aspirants to properly fill in all the details of the online application form and submit it before the last date if they want to take the test in one or both ‍‌‍‍‌‍‌‍‍‌sessions.

Eligibility Criteria for BITSAT 2026 

• Applicants should have passed Class 12 or an equivalent examination from a recognized Central or State board ‍‌‍‍‌‍‌‍‍‌with:
• Physics and Chemistry as mandatory subjects
• Mathematics or Biology as the third subject

Only the candidates who meet the academic qualifications will be permitted to take the entrance exam.

How to Apply for BITSAT 2026

The BITSAT application procedure is entirely online. The candidates have to:

• Sign up on the official BITS admission portal
• Verify contact details via email ID and mobile number
• Fill in personal and educational details
• Choose preferred exam centres
• Upload photo and signature as per the prescribed size
• Pay‍‌‍‍‌‍‌‍‍‌ the application fee online using one of the following methods: UPI, net banking, or card.
• The fee for the application changes from Rs 3,400 to Rs 5,400 depending on the number of sessions chosen and the category of the candidate.

BITSAT 2026 Exam Pattern

BIT admission test will be a multiple-choice question test with 130 questions drawn from four subjects:

• Physics: 30 questions
• Chemistry: 30 questions
• English Proficiency and Logical Reasoning: 30 questions
• Mathematics or Biology: 40 ‍‌‍‍‌‍‌‍‍‌questions

During the test, candidates are allowed to jump from one question to another. In case a candidate answers all 130 questions without leaving any, he/she will be provided with 12 extra questions from which the candidate will have to select one. After choosing these extra questions, the candidate cannot return to the earlier answers.
