CBSE Board Exams 2026 Date Sheet: As the examination process is an important event, the board had to consider a way to avoid delay by providing a date sheet that allows sufficient space between major subjects, so that students have enough time to prepare.

Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has published the final date sheets for the board examinations of Class 10 and 12 for the academic year 2025, 26. Students may download the copies of the schedule from the official website of the board. The examinations of the two classes will commence from February 17, 2026.

In compliance with the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020, CBSE declared that two board examinations would be held in an academic year for Class 10 students from 2026 onwards.

In its official communication, CBSE informed that the tentative date sheet was first released on September 24, 2025, and it was based on the registration data of Class 9 and 11 students, 146 days prior to the examinations. The board also mentioned, "Due to the on, time submission of the list of candidates (LOC) by schools, it is for the first time that CBSE is issuing the final date sheet almost 110 days prior to the exam."

In order to facilitate the examination process, the board asserted that the date sheet ensured that there were sufficient intervals between the main subjects so that students could have enough time to prepare. Besides, the early announcement of the schedule is also a move to help parents and teachers get ready for the summer holidays and schools to make logistical arrangements.

Regarding the problem of overlapping exams, CBSE informed that while filling the Joint Entrance Examination (JEE Main) application form, the National Testing Agency (NTA) would ask students to provide their Class XI registration number. "Therefore, all the schools should be ready to give the students the Class XI registration number, who are JEE (Main) applicants, " the board concludes.
