CISCE ICSE Class 10, 12 ICSE, ISC 2025 Improvement Exam Time Tables OUT

The Council for the Indian School Certificate Examinations (CISCE), which manages the Indian Certificate of Secondary Education (ICSE) Class 10 and Indian School Certificate (ISC) Class 12 annual examinations, has announced the improvement exam dates on 13th June 2025. The improvement exams would commence from 1st July 2025, and the timetable is available on the official website at cisce.org.

The Class 10 exam will begin with the English paper 1 and Environmental Science on the first day of the exam. The exams for class 10 would end on 14th July 2025.

The ISC Class 12 exams would begin with the Mathematics, Sociology, Environmental Science, and Legal Studies Paper.

The ISC Class 12 papers will conclude on 17th July 2025.

The CISCE ICSE and ISC improvement exams would give the candidates an opportunity to improve their marks and grades. Candidates are allowed to appear in a maximum of two papers.

The ICSE class 10 exam was carried out in a total of 67 subjects (written), out of which 20 were Indian Languages, 14 were foreign languages, and one was a classical language subject. In the ISC class 12, there were 47 written subjects, out of which 12 were Indian languages, four foreign languages, and two classical languages.

A total of 2,803 schools participated in the Class 10 ISC exam, and a total of 2,52,557 students participated in the exams; out of them, 2,308 students could not clear the papers. 1,184 students had learning difficulties such as dyslexia, and 112 scored above 90 per cent. The western region got the best pass percentage of 99.83 per cent in class 10 exams, southern region stood second with a pass percentage of 99.73 per cent. Girls remained ahead of the boys with a higher pass percentage of 99.45 per cent, and the boys had 98.64 per cent.

In the ISC Class 12 examinations, 99,551 students participated from a total of 1,460 schools, 973 of them could not clear the test. Girls outshone the boys with a pass percentage of 99.45, while boys were at 98.64 per cent. 257 students in total had some learning difficulties, 29 out of them scored above 90 per cent. The southern region stood first in terms of the best pass percentage of 99.76, and the western region stood second with a pass percentage of 99.72 per cent.

The CISCE stopped the compartment exams in 2024, and introduced the re-evaluation of the answer sheets and improvement exams for the students who want to improve their marks in the same year of which they had appeared in the exams. CISCE has made clear that there will be improvement exams for a maximum of two subjects only, not more than that.
