Okay so this is something you don't see everyday. A newly launched political party called the Cockroach Janta Party has made the NEET UG 2026 paper leak controversy its very first major campaign issue. The party's founder, Abhijeet Dipke, has started an online petition demanding the resignation of Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan over how the whole NEET 2026 mess has been handled.

And honestly, given how angry students and parents already are, this was probably coming sooner or later.

What's The NEET 2026 Controversy Actually About?

For those who don't know, the NEET UG 2026 exam which is taken by over 22 lakh medical aspirants across India got hit with serious allegations of a question paper leak. The controversy blew up fast, authorities eventually had to cancel the original exam and announce a re-test, which just added more stress and confusion for students who had already been preparing for months.

The whole situation has been a mess to put it simply.

What Abhijeet Dipke and CJP Are Saying

In a video posted on social media, Dipke called the NEET fiasco a "system failure" his words. He said it broke student trust and created unnecessary uncertainty around one of India's most high stakes entrance exams.

He's asking students, parents and regular citizens to sign the online petition and push for real accountability. His argument is straightforward – if something this big went wrong, someone at the top needs to take responsibility. And in his view, that someone is the Education Minister.

Dipke also said this isn't just about one exam. According to him it reflects a much deeper problem with how transparent India's education system actually is. He pointed out that many students are dealing with serious anxiety and emotional stress because of the exam uncertainty, which, if you know anyone who's appeared for NEET, is very easy to believe.

He also raised a valid question that a lot of people are asking: why hasn't stronger action been taken at senior levels despite all the public outrage and national debate?

Students Are Furious Online

Social media has been going absolutely crazy over this. Students and parents have been raising concerns about:

  • Exam credibility – can you even trust these exams anymore?
  • Admission delays – medical admissions are getting pushed back
  • Academic pressure – kids are burning out and re-examinations make it worse
  • Policy confusion – nobody knows what's happening next

Calls for bigger reforms in how competitive exams are conducted, better security mechanisms and more transparency have been flooding every platform. It's not dying down anytime soon.

What The Government Has Done So Far

The government has announced a re-examination process and said an investigation into the alleged malpractice is underway. Some corrective steps have been promised. But students and their families are still waiting to see what actually happens on the ground.

For many, announcements alone aren't enough at this point.

Why This Is Bigger Than Just An Exam

Here's the thing: NEET isn't just any exam. For lakhs of students, it's literally the one test that decides their entire medical career. When something like a paper leak happens, it doesn't just cause inconvenience. It shakes the whole system of trust that students and families have placed in these institutions for years.

Students deserve answers. And they deserve them fast.
