The 21st edition of the CTET exam has finally been conducted by the CBSE on the 8th of February, 2026. So, the exam is going to happen in a total of 2 shifts in many different centres across the country. Furthermore, candidates who have given the exam can go and check the unofficial CTET answer key, and with that, the paper analysis, and the difficulty level of the exam.
Earlier, CBSE had released the CTET admit card 2026 on February 5 on its official website, ctet.nic.in. Carrying the hall ticket to the examination centre was mandatory. Candidates without a valid admit card were strictly not permitted to appear for the exam, as per the board’s instructions.
According to the experience of the candidates who have given the exam, the shift 2 exam is rated as easy to moderate. A large number of aspirants found out that the exam is manageable and was well covered from the syllabus.
According to feedback received from students, the Shift 1 exam was also considered Easy to Moderate. The paper mainly consisted of concept-based questions, testing candidates’ understanding rather than rote learning.

After the conclusion of the CTET 2026 examination, the Central Board of Secondary Education follows a well-defined post-exam process that includes the release of the answer key, an objection window for candidates, and the publication of the final answer key before the result declaration. Based on previous years’ trends and expert analysis, here is what candidates can expect after the CTET exam.
Generally, CBSE release the CTET’s answer key for all the papers and shifts. So, the answer key for this year, that is 2026, is going to be published online in PDF format. Moreover, it allows the students to go and check the responses from the estimated scores.
As per past trends followed by CBSE, the CTET 2026 provisional answer key is expected to be released within 10 to 15 days after the exam, this places the tentative release timeline between February 17 and February 23, 2026, depending on the completion of internal verification and response sheet evaluation.
Once the provisional answer key is released, CBSE opens a short objection window, generally lasting 2 to 3 days. During this period, candidates can challenge any answer they believe is incorrect.
To object, candidates must:
Only objections submitted within the specified timeline and with valid proof are considered by the board.
