CUET UG 2025: NTA Postpones Exams at One Jammu and Kashmir Centre

The National Testing Agency (NTA) has released an important notice for the candidates of the Common University Entrance Test Undergraduate (CUET UG) 2025. The exam was scheduled on 13 May 2025 in second shift at Kite Polytechnic, Vawoosa, Rangreth, Srinagar, Jammu and Kashmir, was cancelled due to some technical glitches. The cancellation has affected 76 students.

NTA has declared that the examinations for these students would be rescheduled later, and new admit cards would be issued in due course. Candidates are advised to regularly check the official NTA websites nta.ac.in and cuet.nta.nic.in for any updates and information regarding the rescheduled exams. This crucial entrance exam was from the 13th (Tuesday) of May, after being rescheduled from the 8th of May 2025.

In Delhi also, students reported technical and logistical difficulties at a centre of Rohini, this tuesday. Several students missed their exams at a centre in Noida, they all reached late at the centre due to traffic chaos.  

CUET-UG is a gateway to undergraduate and postgraduate admissions in India and has seen a record of 13.5 lakh applications in this year. CUET UG is a new initiative by the Ministry of Education and NTA.

Last year the exams were held at the centres in the OMR sheets but a pattern shift is made this year to the computer-based mode (CBT).

In the starting year of CUET-UG, it was also plagued by the technical glitches. The result of the test being conducted in the multiple shifts, the score had to be normalised during the result announcement.

The exam was conducted in the hybrid mode for the first time in the year 2024 and was cancelled across the whole Delhi, the night before due to the logistical reasons.
