NEET UG 2026 Re-Exam FAQs: Important FAQs on Exam Centres, City Choice and Fees

After the NEET UG 2026 paper leak in the May 3 exam, the National Testing Agency has issued an official FAQ notice to address student concerns regarding the re-exam scheduled on June 21 in offline mode.

Exam Date & Mode

Fees & Refund

• No additional fee will be charged for the re-exam
• Candidates will get a full refund of the original exam fee
• A bank details submission portal will be activated by May 21, 2026
• Refund will be processed after submitting the required details

Exam City & Centre Preference

• Candidates can change their exam city and present address
• Correction window: May 15 to May 21, 2026 (till 11:50 PM)
• Facility available on the official NTA website
• If no changes are made, the previous city preference will be retained
• Final exam centre may still change due to random allocation process

Exam Language

• No change allowed in selected exam medium
• Language chosen in the original application will remain final
• The exam will be conducted in 13 languages, including:
  • Assamese
  • Bengali
  • English
  • Gujarati
  • Hindi
  • Kannada
  • Malayalam
  • Marathi
  • Odia
  • Punjabi
  • Tamil
  • Telugu
  • Urdu

Extra Time & Instructions

• Candidates will get extra 15 minutes
• This time is mainly for verification and documentation
• Reach the exam centre early to complete formalities smoothly
