The Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE), a prestigious entrance exam for admissions in the technical postgraduate programs or getting recruited to the several PSUs (Public Sector Undertakings), its scorecards are released. The results were earlier announced on the official website gate2025.iitr.ac.in on 19th March 2025. Scorecards and list of top rankers can be checked on the same site, using the candidates login credentials.

The examination was conducted in February 2025, on the dates 1st, 2nd, 15th and 16th. Over 10 Lakh students gave the test.

GATE 2025 was jointly conducted by the seven IITs (IIT Roorkee, IIT Delhi, IIT Bombay, IIT Madras, IIT Kharagpur, IIT Kanpur, IIT Guwahati) and IISc Bengaluru, on behalf of NCB (National Coordination Board) of Government of India.

• Visit gate2025.iitr.ac.in
• Click login on the homepage.
• Use your enrolment ID/email ID and enter the password.
• Submit the credentials, access the scorecard
• Click on download to save copy for future reference.

What After GATE 2025?

The GATE 2025 scorecard would be valid for three years until March 2028. It can be used in admitting in the various Master Programs like MTech, ME and the PhD programmes of the elite Engineering colleges like IIITs (Indian Institutes of Information Technology), IITs (Indian Institutes of Technology), NITs (National Institutes of Technology) and CFTIs (Centrally Funded Technical Institutes). 

The IITs take admission through the COA(Common Offer Acceptance) Portal, organised by IISc Bengaluru. COAP 2025 registrations will begin in April.

GATE qualifiers can even apply for the recruitment in various PSUs for the technical and managerial roles. The qualifying score for them is 75 to 80%, after this the interview weightage of 15 to 30% would be considered. Some of the top PSUs accepting GATE score 2025 are BHEL, IOCL, NTPC and ONGC.
