Last Chance for GATE 2026 Application Corrections: Deadline November 3, 2025

The Indian Institute of Technology Guwahati is the organizing institute for GATE 2026. The institute has announced a window for correction in the application form of GATE 2026 for the candidates. Hence, if you have registered for the exam and found that you made a mistake in the form, then we are letting you know to rectify it here.

Changes in your form can be done by logging in on ‍‍goaps.iitg.ac.in or by visiting ‍‍gate2026.iitg.ac.in. The period for correction will be till November 3, 2025. So, make your corrections well before the gate is closed. After that, you will not be able to make any further corrections.

If you want to go to the correction page, you will need your enrolment ID and password. Do not forget that IIT Guwahati has stated that there will be a small fee for making certain changes. So, according to what you are changing, you might have to pay some extra money.

Here is a brief explanation of what changes are allowed and the corresponding fees for those changes:

• Change your name, date of birth, exam city, or paper: ₹500
• Change gender to female: ₹500
• Change gender from female to any other: ₹500 (for SC/ST/PwD) or ₹1500 (for others)
• Changing category to SC/ST: ₹500
• Changing category from SC/ST to any other: ₹500 (for Female/PwD) or ₹1500 (for others)
• Changing PwD/Dyslexic status: ₹500 depending on the direction of change

No fee will be charged if you’re only updating parent/guardian details, correspondence address, college name, roll number, or degree info — those can be fixed freely.

The GATE 2026 exam will be held on February 7, 8, 14, and 15, 2026. It’s not just for postgraduate admissions like MTech or PhD, but also a big opportunity for recruitment into various PSUs.

Essentially, if you are GATE 2026 aspirant, relook your application immediately. Don’t wait till the last day to make corrections. After the closure of the window on November 3, it will not be possible to make changes.
