GATE 2027 Notification; Check Registration Timeline, Exam Schedule & Eligibility

IIT Madras is expected to release the GATE 2027 notification very soon. The official information brochure is not out yet but based on the previous year schedule the online registration process is expected to start in August 2026.

GATE is a national level entrance exam for admission to MTech, ME, PhD and other postgraduate programmes at IITs, NITs, IIITs and other participating institutes. Along with this the GATE score is also accepted by many Public Sector Undertakings for recruitment. So this is a very important exam for all the engineering graduates and they should start their preparation as soon as possible.

Who Can Apply?

Candidates who have completed or are currently pursuing an eligible undergraduate degree in Engineering, Technology, Science, Architecture, Commerce, Arts or Humanities can apply for GATE 2027 subject to the eligibility criteria mentioned in the official notification. So all the aspirants should check the eligibility requirements carefully before submitting the application to avoid any problems later.
