ICAI CA Inter January 2026 Exam Starts Today: Schedule & Timings Inside

The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI) has finally made the official statement that the CA Intermediate examination will happen today! That is on 6th January, 2026. The exam will be in the afternoon, around 2 PM, at the allotted centres in pan India.

The candidates who have decided to give the paper must carry their ICAI CA Inter January 2026 admit card to the exam centre. If in case any candidate forgets to carry a hard copy for the exam, they will not get the chance to give the exam. Also, come an hour early before the exam so that there will not be any hustle while completing verification or any other formalities.

NOTE: Students keep in mind the exam dates are 6,8,10,12,15,and 17 January from Group 1 and Group 2.

• Each paper: 100 marks
• Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs): 30 marks
• Descriptive-type questions: 70 marks

ICAI CA Inter January 2026 Exam Day Guidelines

Students who are appearing for CA Intermediate January 2026 exam should definitely follow the instructions mentioned down, it is issued by the ICAI itself. If any candidate fails to do so, they can face disqualification:

• Carry a hard copy of the admit card, with a valid ID to avoid any problem in completing verification
   
• Get to the exam centre at least an hour early the exam to avoid any hustle
   
• Carry only permitted stationary items
   
• Devices such as calculators must be ICAI-approved, battery-operated, and non-programmable
   
• Other devices such as mobiles, smart watches, bluetooth devices are strictly NO.
