The‍‌‍‍‌‍‌‍‍‌ Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI) has declared the exam dates for CA Foundation, CA Intermediate, and CA Final for the May 2026 attempt. The news is like a ray of light to the students all over the country who have been waiting in the dark for the timeline to be out. The schedule will be instrumental to the aspirants for their preparation and ‍enrollment.

ICAI has indicated that exams are planned to be held only if the requisite number of candidates register at each level.

CA May 2026 Exam Dates

CA Final Examination

• Group I papers: May 2, 4 and 6, 2026
• Group II papers: May 8, 10 and 12, 2026

CA Intermediate Examination

• Group I papers: May 3, 5 and 7, 2026
• Group II papers: May 9, 11 and 13, 2026

CA Foundation Examination

Papers will be held on May 14, 16, 18 and 20, 2026

Exam Timings 

ICAI has also mentioned different durations for various papers:

CA Foundation

• 1 and 2: 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM
• 3 and 4: 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM

CA Intermediate and Final

• 1 to 5: 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM
• Final 6: 2:00 PM to 6:00 PM

All papers, except Foundation Papers 3 and 4, will have a 15 minutes reading time from 1:45 PM to 2:00 PM.

Application Process and Key Dates

Applications for the May 2026 CA exam will be accepted only through online mode via the ICAI Self Service Portal (SSP) at eservices.icai.org.

The application window opening, the last dates for applications without and with late fee, and the correction period will be as under:

• Application window opens: March 3, 2026
• Last date without late fee: March 16, 2026
• Last date with late fee (Rs 600): March 19, 2026
• Correction window: March 20 to March 22, 2026

In‍‌‍‍‌‍‌‍‍‌ order to have the procedure done fully and successfully, examination fees should be paid online at the time of application submission.
