IGNOU Re, Registration for January 2026 Session Begins; Deadline January 15, Apply Online at ignou.samarth.edu.in

Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU) has started the re, registration drive for the January 2026 academic session. Students pursuing Open and Distance Learning (ODL) and Online programmes at IGNOU can file their re, registration applications via the online portal, ignou.samarth.edu.in . The window was opened on December 1, 2025, and will be available till January 15, 2026.

This operation is required for students who intend to move on to the next semester or year of their programme. Not doing the re, registration within the time frame may hinder your academic progress and limit your access to study materials.

Who May Re, Register for IGNOU 2025

The re, registration option is open to:
• Continuing students of undergraduate and postgraduate degrees
• Diploma and certificate students in ODL and Online mode
• Students of IGNOU at international study centres

Procedure for the Completion of Re, Registration at IGNOU 2025

The students will be allowed to log into their previous account, and the entire process will be done online. The actions are as follows:

1. Go to the page ignou.samarth.edu.in
2. Sign into your account using the correct details
3. Select the subjects for the upcoming semester or year
4. Upload the documents if necessary
5. Complete the re, registration payment through the online mode
6. Retain the acknowledgement slip for your records and print it out

In confirmation of the re, registration, IGNOU has asked the learners to avoid the last week of the deadline for the re, registration, thus avoiding server and technical issues which are often encountered near the cutting, off time.
