Indira Gandhi National Open University Extends IGNOU B.Ed, BSc Nursing & PGDRPC Entrance Application Deadline to March 10; Exams on March 29

The Indira Gandhi National Open University has extended the deadline for submitting online applications for its upcoming entrance examinations. The extension covers the B.Ed and BSc Nursing programmes for the January 2026 session, as well as the Post Graduate Diploma in Rural and Plantation Management for the July 2026 session.

Revised Application Deadline

As per the notification issued by IGNOU’s Student Evaluation Division (Exam-II) on February 27, 2026, candidates can now apply online until March 10, 2026, by 6:00 PM. The extension offers aspirants additional time to complete their registration, upload necessary documents, and pay the prescribed application fee.

The university has advised candidates to avoid last-minute submissions to prevent potential technical glitches near the deadline.

Entrance Exam Date

The entrance examinations for all three programmes B.Ed, BSc Nursing, and PGDRPC will be conducted on March 29, 2026. Applicants are encouraged to regularly check the official IGNOU website for updates regarding admit cards and exam-related instructions.

Admissions Open for Other Programmes

In addition to the entrance-based courses, IGNOU has also commenced admissions for its undergraduate and postgraduate programmes for the January 2026 session. Popular undergraduate courses such as BA, BBA, BCom, BCA, BSc, and BSW are open for enrollment. At the postgraduate level, programmes including MBA, MA, MCA, and MCom are also accepting applications.

Admissions are being offered through both Open and Distance Learning and online modes. The last date to apply for these programmes is February 28, 2026.
