IGNOU July 2025 Admission Deadline Extended: Apply Now Till October 15

Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU) has postponed the application deadline for the freshers' admission for the July session 2025. Those who have not yet filed the Open and Distance Learning (ODL) or online programs application may now register up to October 15, 2025.

The extension covers only the ODL and online programs, not the certificate and semester-based courses. The online programs offered can be found completely listed on the website, iop.ignouonline.ac.in, where the candidates can also apply after going through the courses.

How to Apply for IGNOU July 2025 Admission?

Here are the steps students are required to follow if they want to enroll:

Step 1: Go to the official website, ignou.ac.in.

Step 2: Select "Register Online," then "Fresh Admissions."

Step 3: Click on "New Registration."

Step 4: Enter the necessary registration information.

Step 5: Set up your username and password.

Step 6: Fill in the necessary information and send it.

Step 7: Access your account with your registered mobile number and email ID.

Step 8: Pick the right program for you.

Step 9: The admission form is to be submitted.

Fee and Refund Policy

During admission, students must pay a non-refundable registration fee along with the first-year program fee. The refund policy of IGNOU is as follows:

  • Before the last date of admission: The Entire program fee will be returned (except registration fee).
  • Within 15 days following the deadline: Deduction of ₹500 from the refund.
  • From 16 to 90 days after the deadline: Deduction of ₹1,000.
  • Beyond 90 days: No refund is given.

Note: In the case of any duplicate payment, the amount will be automatically refunded to the original account.

Documents Required for Online Admission

The applicants must upload the scanned copies of the following:

  • Passport-size photo (less than 100 KB)
  • Signature (less than 100 KB)
  • Age proof (Birth certificate/Class 10 mark sheet)
  • Educational certificates (from Class 10 onwards)
  • Certificate of the category (SC/ST/OBC/EWS, if applicable)
  • Experience certificate (if needed)
  • Certification for BPL status (if applicable)

Important Guidelines

  • Students seeking enrollment in online programs should have a computer or laptop with an internet connection, as no printed study materials will be given.
  • Students who want printed materials can enroll in the ODL mode via ignouadmission.samarth.edu.in.
  • The registration fee is entirely non-refundable. However, the refunds for program fees will be carried out as per the IGNOU refund policy.
