IGNOU July 2025 Re-registration Deadline Extended to 15th July 2025, Steps to Complete Re-Registration & Important Instructions

The Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU) has set out the last date for re-registration for the July 2025 academic year. The previous deadline was set on 30th June, but now the new deadline has been extended till a fortnight on 15th July 2025. This will give the students enough time to complete their process of application process in both of the Open and Distance Learning (ODL) and online mode programmes. 

The Re-registration process was originally started on 15th May 2025. This process is applicable to all the existing learners who are enrolled in the various IGNOU programmes. The IGNOU’s re-registration portal was opened on the official website at onlinerr.ignou.ac.in . This portal is open for both Indian and International students who have enrolled in any of the university’s programs/courses, which allow progression in the next semester or academic session.

IGNOU has clarified that the re-registration portal is open to all the students who have already enrolled in any of the programme,s regardless of their appearance in the end-term examination or have submitted their assignments. It offers the flexibility to all the students who are facing any type of academic or the personal difficulties; they can enrol in it and continue their learning without any interruption.

The university advised the students not to take a long time or wait till the last date to submit their re-registration forms and make the required payment on time. Students who are using third-party services, like the cyber cafes, must verify their course selection and payment status before submitting the form.

Steps to Complete the Re-registration for IGNOU July Session 2025

• Navigate to the official portal of IGNOU July Session 2025 at onlinerr.ignou.ac.in .
• If you are a new user, then click on the “New Registration” tab on the homescreen and provide a valid email ID and phone number. While the existing users can log in using their username and password.
• After logging in to the portal, carefully choose your course on the basis of the options available in the given program guide. Course changes later may limit your study time.
• Do the payment for your program using your bank card, UPI, or the net banking method. International students can make use of the payment gateways available in their region.
• Check the status of your payment and retain the proof of payment by keeping the printout of the submitted form and the payment receipt for the future reference.

Important Instructions for the Students

Students who are facing any issue, such as not receiving the OTP or the forgotten password problem, such students are advised to contact the respective Regional Centre for Account Reset or the Contact Detail updates. IGNOU has warned the students against making multiple payments in the case of a delay in payment. They should wait 24 hours before making the next try. Although, any extra payment made by the students would be refunded within 2-3 days.
