IGNOU Startup Competition 2026 Announced

The IGNOU Startup Competition 2026 has been launched by the Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU). In this startup competition, students and alumni are invited to showcase their innovative startup ideas and business ventures. This whole thing has been organised by the Institution’s Innovation Council (IIC) to promote entrepreneurship in the university community. The competition aims to identify promising entrepreneurs and provide them with a platform to gain recognition and support for their ventures.

Who Can Apply?

The competition is open to:

• Current IGNOU students
• IGNOU alumni

Applicants must:

• Candidates must have an existing startup or running innovative business ventures
• Submit complete details of the ventures

Participants will be evaluated based on:

• Originality of the idea
• Impact and scalability
• Overall business potential

Selection Process

The IGNOU Startup Competition 2026 will be conducted in two stages:

1. Screening Round: Applications submitted online will be reviewed by an expert committee. Shortlisted candidates will move to the next round.
2. Final Pitch Round: Shortlisted participants will present their startup ideas before a jury. IGNOU will provide a presentation template for this stage.

The final winner will be awarded the “Best Startup Award 2026” based on innovation, execution, and presentation.
