IISER Admissions 2026: Applications From March 5; IAT Exam on June 7

For all the waiting candidates, finally, the opportunity is out now, as the IISERs have announced the admission for the 2026 academic session. Although the application process is not yet live but is scheduled to be live from March 5, 2026. After the release on the official admission portal, all the candidates will be able to register themselves. 

Admission Channels

For the awareness of the individuals, all the candidates can apply using any of the routes shared below: 

• IISER Aptitude Test (IAT)
• JEE Advanced
• KVPY

The important thing to note is that the all candidates need to choose their IISER campus while entering the personal details and filling the form. 

IISER Aptitude Test (IAT) 2026

• Exam Date: June 7, 2026 (Sunday)
• Mode: As notified in official guidelines
• Subjects Covered: Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, Biology

This is not a normal test as it evaluates conceptual understanding and problem solving ability. 

Eligibility (IAT Channel)

Candidates must:

• Have passed Class 12 (or equivalent) with prescribed subjects
• Meet the minimum marks criteria specified in the official rules
• Be eligible as per IISER admission guidelines (India or abroad boards accepted)

All those students who are interested in the research oriented undergraduate science programmes should be aware that the registration of the Indian Institutes of Science Education and Research is about to start from the March 5, 2026. So registering as soon as possible will help secure the admission on time.
