IIT Delhi Placement Season 2025–26: 1,275 Offers Made So Far, Hiring to Continue Till May

In this season of recruitment, more than 1140 candidates have at least secured one offer from companies at the Indian Institute of Technology Delhi. In just by December 2025, students have secured 1,275 placement offers in the season of 2025 - 2026. But this is not over, the placement season is still underway and will continue till May 2026, as many recruiters are yet to come to campus to hire the candidates.

Sharp Rise in Pre-Placement Offers (PPOs)

In the area of core engineering, analytics, finance, and technology, a jump in PPOs has been noticed. Compared to last year almost a 33% jump in pre-placement offers, all this is based on candidates' internship performance and experience in hand before joining. As IIT Delhi has noticed more than 300 PPOs this year. This season is expected to be good for the students.

Placement this time in 2025 is not normal, as companies are offering freshers' salaries in double digits during this season of placement. What the IIT Delhi Placement Team Says

A lot of companies are yet to come to the campus in the upcoming month for hiring for additional roles in the last stages of the placement drive, as per Suresh Neelakantan, who is a co-professor in charge at OCS. 

This season of placement is good so far, as per Naresh V Datla, who is Professor-in-Charge of the Office of Career Services.

In line with its established policy, IIT Delhi has not released information on highest or average salary packages for the 2025–26 placement season.
