India to Celebrate October 25 as Online Education Day: A Step Toward Digital Learning

India‍‌‍‍‌‍‌‍‍‌ is all set to recognize October 25 as Online Education Day, a first-ever nationwide gesture that celebrates the increasing influence of tech-based learning and applauds the students, teachers, and educational organizations that lead the future of learning through the internet.

The day is about acknowledging the role online education plays in making learning more accessible to all and thus, eliminating the inequalities among student communities. It also provides opportunities to the professional world to learn new skills at their convenient time and pace. The day is the perfect example of inclusion, innovation, and progress, the core features of digital education in India.

This movement is powered by College Vidya, a platform for online education that is instrumental in guiding more than 100,000 learners to select the right university and program that suits their goals. The platform's ambition was shaped through this initiative to bring the whole online community of India under one umbrella and give the 25th of October the status of a day for digital education and empowerment.

Online Education Day is a dream of a joint fest of universities, teachers, and students who believe that the power of technology is the only way to make education reachable to everyone. Eventually, they are aiming to get an official recognition from national and international bodies such as UGC, AICTE, and UNESCO, thereby marking it as a World Day of learning.
