Jammia Millia Islamia PhD Admissions 2025-2026: Application Window Opens, Check Schedule, Fee, & Schedule

On 17 October 2025, Jamia Millia Islamia officially released the admission schedule for the PhD program for the 2025-26 session. All research scholars can submit their JMI PhD application form online on the official admission website till October 20, 2025.

The office of the Controller of Examination has circulated an event notification on October 16, which specifies the admission procedure, form submission, and commencement of classes.

The steps that the candidate must follow for the admission process :

STEP 1: Visit the official site of the JMI admission admission.jmi.ac.in

STEP 2: Complete your registration process and generate your login ID.

STEP 3: Fill out the online PhD application form with your personal, academic, and contact details .

STEP 4: Upload your instructed documents in the prescribed format.

STEP 5:  Pay the application fee of 2,000 online.

STEP 6: Submit the form and download the confirmation.

Jamia Millia Islamia PhD selection process 2025 :

The selection process for JMI’s PhD program has multiple stages.

STAGE 1:  A first-stage also known as entrance test where the candidate needs to give the exam on November 15 or 16, 2025.

STAGE 2:  Then the, Exam-qualified students will submit their research proposals.

STAGE 3: And at last stage, where the candidates present their research proposal and face an interview.

The final list will be decided on the basis of the candidate’s performance in the interview.
