JEE Main 2026 City Intimation Slip Expected Soon: Exam from January 21; Key Details Here

Finally, after a long wait, we can expect the City intimation slip of the JEE Mains 2026. In the first week of January or by mid-January. This is for those candidates who have already registered for the session 1 examination. They can download the intimation slip later, after the release on the official site of NTA.
Meanwhile, the exam date for Session 1 JEE Mains 2026 will start from January 21 to January 30, 2026. Additionally, just to clarify that the admit card will be released later, and first, the city intimation slip will be out by this month.

4. Download the city intimation slip. 
5. Do save a copy of the final page for later use. 

JEE Main 2026 Exam Schedule (Session 1 & Session 2)

• Session 1 - The Exam Dates start from January 21 to 30 the 2026, and along with that, the result declaration is destined to be out on February 12, 2026. 

• Session 2 - The Exam Dates start from April 2 to April 9, 2026. And along with that, the result declaration is starting from April 20, 2026. 

Note that the exam will be conducted in multiple shifts that too in the online mode of CBT, which is a computer-based test. 

JEE Main 2026 Exam Timing & Paper Structure

Paper 1: BE / BTech
The exam mode is destined to be in a CBT structure with a time duration of 3 hours, and timing starting from 9 am to 12 pm, along with different shifts starting from 3 pm to 6 pm 

Paper 2A: BArch
This exam mode is destined to be in Pen and paper mode, along with a 3-hour and 30-minute duration for part 3, and for part 1, it is supposed to be in a CBT mode.  

Paper 2B: BPlanning

The mode of the exam will be CBT, and sections are divided into mathematics, aptitude, planning, and the entire duration will be 3 hours and 30 minutes.

New update for the JEE 2026 candidates is that the deadline for the verification of the photo and non-Adhaar students has been extended for more days till January 15, 2026. One noteworthy thing for the candidates is that the link to certification uploading is shared through email to all the eligible candidates.

JEE Advanced 2026: Next Step After JEE Main

The simple fact that every candidate should know is that JEE Main 2026 is the stepping stone to be, and later, after excelling this step, the candidate will be eligible for the JEE Advanced 2026 and which will be conducted by IIT Roorkee.

The Exam date is scheduled to start from May 17, 2026, and for both papers, the given time is mentioned below:

• Paper 1: 9:00 AM to 12:00 Noon
• Paper 2: 2:30 PM to 5:30 PM
