The JEE Main session 1 result is finally out and live on the NTA. The surprising part of this result was that 12 candidates scored a 100 out of 100. So, the result link is active on the main website, jeemain.nta.nic.in, to download the scorecards. Based on JEE Main cut-offs, aspirants can also estimate their admission chances in NITs and IIITs.

JEE Main 2026 Expected Qualifying Cut-Off

Based on trends and this year’s performance, the expected qualifying percentile for JEE Advanced 2026 is:

  • General: 90–92 percentile
  • EWS: 75–78 percentile
  • OBC-NCL: 73–76 percentile
  • SC: 50–55 percentile
  • ST: 40–45 percentile

Candidates meeting the qualifying cut-off will be eligible to appear for JEE Advanced 2026. The final cut-off will be announced after Session 2, and the All India Rank (AIR) will be prepared using the best score from both attempts.

What After JEE Main Result 2026?

Qualified candidates should now focus on preparing for JEE Advanced 2026, the gateway to the Indian Institutes of Technology (IITs). Others can participate in the Joint Seat Allocation Authority counselling for admission to NITs, IIITs, and other participating institutes based on their JEE Main ranks. Candidates unhappy with their January scores can apply for the second attempt. The Session 2 registration window remains open until February 25.

The NTA will conduct JEE Main Session 2 from April 1 to April 9 for:

  • Paper 1: BE/BTech
  • Paper 2: BArch and BPlanning

The final rank list will be prepared using the best performance from the two sessions.
