JMI CDOE Admission 2026-27 Open for 49 Distance & Online Courses; Apply by August 10

JMI has finally started the admission process for the 2026-27 academic session under its Centre for Distance and Online Education CDOE. So now all the eligible candidates can go and apply for 49 distance and online programmes through the official admission portal before August 10, 2026.

This year JMI has also introduced two new online programmes which are Bachelor of Science Biosciences and MBA. Most courses will offer admission based on merit but the university will also conduct an entrance examination on August 22 for MBA ODL and BEd admissions. So if you are planning to apply for MBA or BEd then make sure to prepare for the entrance exam as well. Do not miss the August 10 deadline and apply as soon as possible.

What is JMI CDOE?

The Centre for Distance and Online Education CDOE of Jamia Millia Islamia offers undergraduate, postgraduate, diploma and certificate programmes through Open and Distance Learning ODL and Online Learning modes. So basically students can pursue higher education from JMI with a lot more flexibility without having to attend regular classes. This is also a great option for working professionals and students who cannot relocate to pursue a full time degree.

Admission to these newly launched programmes will be based on the candidate's performance in the qualifying examination and an interview.

• Certificate in Computer Hardware and Network Technology
• Certificate in Information Technology

So if you are not looking for a full degree and just want to upskill or get a diploma or certificate then JMI has some really good options for you as well.

Selection Process

Admission to most UG, PG, diploma and certificate programmes will be based on merit in the qualifying examination. But candidates who are applying for MBA ODL and BEd will have to appear for the entrance examination which is scheduled on August 22, 2026.

Shortlisted candidates will get their admission confirmation on their registered email IDs. After that the university will conduct physical document verification and fee submission from August 31 to September 10, 2026. So make sure to keep all your documents ready well in advance and do not miss any of these deadlines.
