MAT 2026 Exam Schedule Released: Check PBT & CBT Dates, Fees, and Application Process

The best part for the candidates is that the MAT examination offers options like Dual Mode, where candidates can take part in both modes, including Paper based and computer based and only the best score will be chosen by the institutes. 

MAT 2026 Important Dates (PBT & CBT)

• The last date to apply for paper-based test is 23rd Feb, 2026
• The release of the admit card for paper-based test is 26th Feb, 2026
• The exam date for the paper-based test is 1st March, 2026
• The last date to apply for computer-based test is 2nd March, 2026
• The release of the computer-based test admit card is on 5th March, 2026
• The exam date for computer-based test is 8th March, 2026

How to Fill MAT 2026 Application Form Online

The registration process of MAT 2026 is easy to do, with the steps mentioned below:

• Visit the official MAT website — mat.aima.in
• Find the option ‘ MAT 2026 online application’, and click on that
• Now, fill in the personal details - academic information, and contact details
• Then, select in which mode you prefer attempting the paper (PBT / CBT / Both)
• Select the desired test city
• Upload a recent passport-size photograph and required documents
• Pay the application fee through online payment modes
• Last step, submit the form and download the confirmation page for later use. 

MAT 2026 Application Fee Details

There are only two modes through which a candidate can attempt the MAT 2026 examination: single test mode by choosing either PBT or CBT with a nominal fee of ₹2,200, and the dual mode with both PBT and CBT with a flat fee of ₹3,800

Once the fee for the MAT examination is deducted, the fee can not be refunded. The only mode through which payment should be made is online. 

MAT 2026 Exam Pattern & Section-Wise Details

Across five sections, the MAT 2026 exam is divided, and the exam pattern includes in total of 150 multiple-choice questions:

• Language Comprehension – 30 questions
• Intelligence and Critical Reasoning – 30 questions
• Mathematical Skills – 30 questions
• Data Analysis and Sufficiency – 30 questions
• Economic and Business Environment – 30 questions

Each section plays a key role in evaluating the candidate’s aptitude for management education.
