UGC Notice

NCERT and IIT Madras have collaborated to give a big boost to India’s edtech, research, and innovation sector. The two institutions have recently signed an MoU in New Delhi to jointly work on teacher training, digital learning, and improving the quality of education throughout the country.

The collaboration of these partners goes a long way with the National Education Policy (NEP) objectives which also point to the modernization of education through technology, AI, and multilingual tools that can serve students from any background.

It is a very important point for these two institutions to collaborate in the use of up, to, date digital platforms for training teachers and the use of modern tools to make teacher training more effective. Data analytics will be the main player besides others, it will be instrumental in tracking the learning progress, pointing out the areas that are productive (and those that aren’t), and deciding on the methods that yield real results for large, scale use.

The idea of the project is still fresh. NCERT and IIT Madras are looking forward to conducting pilot programs first before they can decide on further schools and states for their next visits. If everything works out as they wish, this can have the effect of totally changing education delivery and experience in India.
