UGC Notice

Candidates aspiring to admission to the National Institute of Fashion Technology (NIFT) for the 2026 academic session should remain alert. The National Testing Agency (NTA) is gearing up to launch the online application window for both undergraduate and postgraduate programmes. The notification may go live anytime over the next few days, according to official sources.

The upcoming cycle will open admission to major design and fashion programmes, including B.Des, M.Des, B.F.Tech, M.F.Tech, and M.F.M. Applicants will be required to fill one unified application form for all available courses.

Before applying, students must go through the eligibility criteria for their chosen programme. The application fee is likely to remain similar to previous years, around ₹3,000 for General/OBC candidates and ₹1,500 for SC/ST/PwD applicants.

How to Apply for NIFT 2026 Once the Form Is Live

While the portal is yet to open, the application sequence is expected to follow the usual NTA format:

2. Complete the Application Form

Log in and provide your academic background, communication details, and preferred exam city for the NIFT entrance test.

3. Upload Required Documents

Attach your photograph, signature, and category-related certificates in the specified size and format.

4. Pay the Application Fee
