The‍‌‍‍‌‍‌‍‍‌ NIOS is going to handle the registration of the annual exams for classes 10 and 12 that will take place in April 2026 on November 21, 2025. Candidates can fill in their exam forms for the forthcoming session via the official website nios.ac.in.

The announcement regarding the deadline for submitting the application without paying a late fee is December 20, 2025, has also been ‍‌‍‍‌‍‌‍‍‌made.

NIOS 2025 Fee Structure and Late Fee Timeline

It is noteworthy that the fee for one subject is ₹300. Also, if the paper contains a practical, then the student has to pay an extra ₹150 for that subject.
In case a deadline is missed by the student, the application window with late fee slabs will still be available for entries as follows:
December 21 – 31, 2025: Late fee of ₹150 per subject
January 1 – 10, 2026: A uniform late fee of ₹1600 applies for all subjects
It is strongly recommended that all payments be made online via the official portal.

How to Register for NIOS April 2026 Exams

These steps are necessary to complete the exam form:
Go to the website nios.ac.in
Open the link for the next Public Examination – April 2026
Type in your 12-digit enrolment number
Complete the exam form and make the payment for the fee applicable
It is also necessary to take a printout of the confirmation page after saving it for future use

NIOS issues a single combined document of marksheet-cum-certificate to the students, which replaces three separate documents that were issued earlier.

NIOS posting of updated exam dates is a result of admin changes of the chosen subjects in Bihar, Nuapada Assembly segment of Odisha, and several India-centres.
