NIRF 2025 Rankings(College): Delhi's Top Colleges Dominate NIRF 2025 Rankings, Hindu College Tops Again

The Ministry of Education (MoE) has finally released the NIRF India Rankings 2025 on Thursday, September 4th. The ranking has been released for 17 categories. In the “Colleges” category, Hindu College, Delhi, has retained its top position, and Miranda House, Delhi, secured the 2nd position in the National Institutional Ranking Framework (NIRF) 2025.  This was the tenth edition of the NIRF ranking, which was launched in 2015. The rankings were announced in the presence of the Minister of Education, Shri Dharmendra Pradhan.

NIRF Rank 1: Hindu College, Delhi

NIRF Rank 2: Miranda House, Delhi

NIRF Rank 3: Hans Raj College, Delhi

NIRF Rank 4: Kirori Mal College, Delhi

NIRF Rank 5: St. Stephen’s College, Delhi

NIRF Rank 6: Rama Krishna Mission Vivekananda Centenary College, Kolkata

NIRF Rank 7: Atma Ram Sanatan Dharm College, New Delhi

NIRF Rank 8: St. Xavier’s College, Kolkata

NIRF Rank 9: PSGR Krishnammal College for Women, Coimbatore

NIRF Rank 10: PSG College of Arts and Science, Coimbatore

Delhi University has dominated in the “College Category” of the NIRF 2025 rankings. Six colleges of the Delhi University have been ranked among the top 10. Hans Raj College and Karori Mal College have been ranked in the top 5 with  3rd and 4th positions. This is a strong improvement in their rankings from the previous year. Colleges of Tamil Nadu and West Bengal have also featured in the top 10 list. Rama Krishna Mission Vivekananda Centenary College, Kolkata, St. Xavier’s College, Kolkata, and PSGR Krishnammal College for Women, Coimbatore have made a strong entry in NIRF 2025 with 6th, 8th, and 9th ranks respectively. These rankings reflect the growing quality of higher education institutions across the country.
