NIRF Agriculture Ranking 2025: IARI New Delhi leads in the top 10

On 4th September 2025, India’s Education Minister announced the National Institutional Ranking Framework (NIRF) Ranking 2025 after reviewing all the universities work and performance. 

According to the announcement, the indian agricultural research institute (IARI), which is located in New Delhi, has secured the 1st position in the Agriculture and Allied sector, and it has also been at the 1st position for the last 3 years. 

In addition to its constant dominance in agricultural education and research, IARI is also known for the recently introduced Sustainable Development Goals (SDG) category. In only three institutions recognized under this brand, Iari achieved the second rank, with its commitment to stability and adaptation to global SDG principles.

IARI’s 2025 Achievements: Strength that Meets Sustainability

IARI has a strong reputation because of its important work in farming, education, and training. It played a big role in India's green revolution. The top position of the NIRF ranking reflects its strength and leadership in the region.

This year, IARI was also ranked second in a new category focused on Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). This shows that this university is good in every aspect and also focuses on environmental problems. 

Being ranked in the SDG category showed that it is working towards long-term sustainability without sacrificing the country’s welfare and student facilities.
